Early National Signing Day projected winner: USC Football

As it stands right now, the USC football program ranks 102nd overall in the 247 sports team rankings for the 2022 recruiting class. But context is important.

Lincoln Riley just took the job for Clay Helton and since Helton was let go, USC football has been taking hit after hit on the recruiting trail.

That kind of thing happens when you fire a head coach However, Riley is a great recruiter and is already showing off those skills at USC by flipping Malachi Nelson, Raleek Brown, and potentially C.J. Williams.

But that’s just the start. USC football is now trending with Zion Branch, a top-50 safety, and more than that, five-star cornerback Domani Jackson is now very much in play with all of his crystal balls flipping back to USC from Alabama.

Jackson decommitted and following a visit to Alabama, the Crimson Tide was expected to be the pick. But now, Riley has turned things around. Donte Williams is staying on staff and he was always the key to keeping Jackson with the Trojans.

Jackson actually isn’t going to commit until Friday but if USC football wins his commitment, the Trojans will easily be one of the winners of the early signing period.
