The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines and No. 13 Iowa Hawkeyes faced off in Indianapolis for the Big Ten football title. Jim Harbaugh is finally a champion.

Don’t you worry, don’t you worry
I could never forget
All the memories, all the good times
All the happy moments
We’re living life; we’re dying until the day we die
‘Cause we won’t forget these memories
For the rest of our lives

Good Memories by Matthew Parker

What a season in the Big Ten. There were highs, lows, heartbreaks, and everything in between. Did anyone see Michigan State having the season they had? The Paul Bunyan Axe returned to the Land of 10,000 Lakes and The Hat is back in Champaign for the first time since 2014.

Let’s not bury the lede here; you are a reasonably wealthy person if you picked the Michigan Wolverines to win the Big Ten title. That said, picking the Iowa Hawkeyes to play for the title made you a nice chunk of change.

There were some, let’s say, exciting seasons in the Big Ten. The Nebraska Cornhuskers own the Heartbreak Hotel this season. All of their nine losses were by one possession. The Purdue Boilermakers handed Iowa their first loss but lost to Minnesota, who lost to Bowling Green.

Penn State lost at home to Illinois, who then lost to Rutgers the next week. What a season.

So, to Floyd staying in Iowa City, the Oaken Bucket reuniting with the big bass drum, and the Paul Bunyan Trophy (not to be confused with the Axe) staying in East Lansing, here are your final Big Ten football power rankings.
