The Missouri Football team is looking for its bowl game victory since 2014 when former Head Coach Gary Pinkel took the Tigers to the Citrus Bowl and defeated Minnesota.

It’s the second-year under Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers are trending in the right direction, earning a bowl game appearance for the second consecutive season (despite last year’s bowl game being cancelled due to Covid-19).

Missouri (6-6) will have their hands full taking on Army (8-4) in Fort Worth, Texas on Dec. 22 in the Armed Forces Bowl 2021.

Missouri Football is in the best position it has been in since the Pinkel Era

Mizzou has been stuck in purgatory since long-time head coach Gary Pinkel left in 2015. The team has finished finished with a winning record only twice in seven seasons.

The Barry Odom era was fairly uninspiring, recording two bowl game appearances, but losing both games.

Drinkwitz and company are starting to get a little momentum with their football program. They got wins over South Carolina and Florida this season and played Kentucky extremely well early in the season on the road.

Army has a great defense, but I think Missouri’s offense will be able to break through and make some noise, mainly because of one man and one man only: Tyler Badie. He’s our No. 2 reason why the Tigers will beat Army.
