Connor Bazelak has excelled against non-SEC opponents

There are two pieces of good information for Mizzou QB Connor Bazelak: Army is not in the SEC and Army has not seen an SEC opponent in 10 years.

That’s right, the Black Knights have not seen an SEC opponent since 2011 when they lost to Vandy 44-21 in overtime.

The sophomore out of Dayton, Ohio has had his best games against non-SEC opponents, especially this season.

  • In four non-conf. games: 1,074 passing yards, 8 TDs and 2 INTs (268.5 passing yards per game).
  • In seven SEC games: 1,474 passing yards, 8 TDs and 9 INTs (210.5 passing yards per game).

Bazelak is going to have a great game against Army. He’s played 17 SEC games in the past two seasons and has had time to learn, grow and adjust his game. With a few weeks off to rest, recover and prepare for one opponent, expect the quarterback to have a big bowl game.
