Old Dominion and Tulsa will battle it out in the 2021 Myrtle Beach Bowl Monday. Here are the odds and a prediction, plus how to watch and stream.

If you are a fan of college football bowl games, then don’t worry, you can soothe your withdrawals on Monday afternoon with the 2021 Myrtle Beach Bowl.

That pesky Monday Night Football means that there is only one college bowl game today but it’s a solid table-setter for the rest of the week as the bowl games start to ramp up.

Old Dominion didn’t even play football in 2020 and here the Monarchs are in a bowl game, with a shot at a winning season. Tulsa is back in the postseason and got there thanks to winning three consecutive games down the stretch.

Yet, that doesn’t match the five games that Old Dominion won to close out its schedule including multiple wins over bowl teams, so each squad will be motivated. The winning team will get a bowl victory and a winning season, while the loser will end up 6-7.

Here’s a look at all the key info, as well the odds and a prediction for Old Dominion and Tulsa in the 2021 Myrtle Beach Bowl.

2021 Myrtle Beach Bowl Odds

Out of the American Conference, Tulsa has been solid this season, despite its record. The Golden Hurricane lost by five points against Oklahoma State and was a yard away from having a chance to attempt at a game-tying 2-point conversion at Cincinnati.

Tulsa opens the game as a nine-point favorite according to WynnBET and much of that probably has to do with conference strength. The over/under is 53.5 points. The money line is -350 for Tulsa and +275 for Old Dominion.

2021 Myrtle Beach Bowl Prediction

Both teams come into this game hot and each wants to play physical football on offense based on the running game. The Golden Hurricane boasts Shamari Brooks, who is closing in on 1,000 yards, as well as a couple of backups who average more than five yards per attempt.

Old Dominion has a solid back of its own in Blake Watson, who could also hit the 1,000-yard mark on Monday. He’s been key down the stretch as has freshman quarterback Hayden Wolff who started each game during the Monarchs win streak and tossed eight touchdowns compared to just four interceptions.

Tulsa also has a young quarterback in Davis Brin. He threw 16 scores this season and passed for more than 400 yards against Ohio State. However, he also threw 16 interceptions.

Ultimately, in a battle of two similar teams, I’ll give Tulsa the edge. The Golden Hurricane have more depth and Brin has a good day which leads to a 31-28 win.
