The Hawaii Bowl 2021 features the hometown team, Hawaii (6-7), taking on the bad boys from Beale Street, the Memphis Tigers (6-6).

This will be the eighth consecutive bowl game appearance for the Memphis Tigers and the fourth consecutive bowl game appearance for Hawaii. They’ve played in the Hawaii Bowl in three out of those four bowl games.

The Tigers and the Warriors will face off Dec. 24 at 8 PM ET on ESPN. Here are three bold predictions for this exciting match-up.

Memphis is going to record 450+ yards of offense in the Hawaii Bowl 2021

The Memphis Tigers are going to be without the services of one of their most talented players, Calvin Austin III during the bowl game. The stud wide receiver has opted out of playing in the bowl game to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft.

However, the offense will still be counting on true freshman quarterback Seth Hennigan to continue his excellent play heading into this bowl game.

Hennigan recorded 3,322 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and just 8 interceptions in his first season of college football.

A team that’s been called the “new Running Back U,” by Dan Patrick will attack the Warriors on the ground, through the air and with some misdirection plays.

Throughout the 2021 season, Memphis averaged 435 yards of offense per game. That puts them ahead of big-name, swashbuckling teams like Michigan State, Baylor and Cincinnati in terms of total offense per game.
