Hawaii is going to be a shell of what we saw during the 2021 regular season

The Warriors are going to look very different from the team we saw beat Mountain West Conference foe and No. 18 Fresno and came up a touchdown short against No. 24 San Diego State during the regular season.

Hawaii will be without some key players as they have decided to transfer and move on from playing on Oahu.

Starting quarterback Chevan Cordeiro (2,793 passing yards and 17 TDs) and running back Dae Dae Hunter (651 rushing yards and 3 TDs) are both transferring, providing a brutal blow to the Warriors’ offense.

Freshman second string QB Brayden Schager should get the nod as starter. He was able to compete in a few games this season, most notably tossing two touchdowns in the upset win over Fresno State.

It’ll be next-man up mentality for the Warriors in the Hawaii Bowl 2021, but it won’t be enough to overcome the high-octane offense that Memphis has become known for over the years.
