Florida State has struggled to find consistent quarterback play since Jameis Winston left the program in 2014. Current quarterback Jordan Travis has the athleticism and can make plays when running the ball, but struggles when tasked with throwing the football. If Travis does not improve enough by next season, it might be in Mike Norvell’s best interest to give a look to AJ Duffy.

Duffy is a talented four-star quarterback from IMG Academy in Florida that is looking to push for playing time right away. While Duffy does not have the biggest arm amongst the high-profile recruiting prospects, he is accurate and looks comfortable when delivering the ball from the pocket.

While it is tough for true freshmen to start at quarterback, Florida State needs a spark at the position and Duffy might be the guy to lead them back to prominence.
