Georgia Football is back in the college football playoff after a great season. How can the Bulldogs defeat the Michigan Wolverines?

Georgia Football will take on the Michigan Wolverines in the college football playoff this week. This is the most anticipated playoff game of the two and will match two of the best programs in the history of college football. Both teams are built similarly and have taken different paths to get to the playoff.

After dominating the regular season, Georgia football suffered an embarrassing loss to Alabama. This left some doubting whether the UGA defense was a bit overrated or not.

The Bulldogs are hoping that they have learned their lessons from the game against the Crimson Tide and are ready to take on the Wolverines.

One of the big questions surrounding the Bulldogs was how they would handle the QB situation? However, it does not appear that there are going to be any questions and that Stetson Bennett will be taking the field on Friday.

JT Daniels did not make the initial trip due to COVID, meaning that Georgia football is going to have to rely on the former walk-on to get them back to the national championship game.

Michigan has had a season for the ages and won the Big Ten Championship this season. This came after the Wolverines’ first win in a decade over their rival Ohio State. Jim Harbaugh has done a great job with this team this season and Michigan is playing as well as any team down the stretch. This should be a close game and is going to come down to the wire.

Here are the three reasons that Georgia football will beat Michigan in the college football playoff.

3. Michigan Does not have as Dangerous of a Passing Attack as Alabama

One of the concerns with the Georgia defense throughout the season was its pass defense. The front-seven was historically good, but the Bulldogs did not have to face an offense with a lot of firepower. The game against Alabama was perfect evidence of that and Georiga now has a new set of questions that they have to answer if the Bulldogs want to win the national championship.

The good thing for Georgia is that Michigan does not have the talent at quarterback or receiver that Alabama does. The Crimson Tide has Bryce Young and Jameson Williams, but Michigan has a good but not great passing game. Michigan wins games by trying to run the football and overpowering its opponents.

Michigan is going to have to make plays through the air to win this game. It is going to be tough for Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara to win the game without his running game.
