Alabama football picked up a convincing win in the 2021 Cotton Bowl over Cincinnati to advance to the national title game.

It’s been quite the end of the season for Alabama football so far. After beating No. 1 Georgia in the SEC title game by two scores, the Tide dominated No. 4 Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl, 27-6.

Alabama is now playing for yet another national title and it’s pretty clear that the dynasty isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Cincinnati deserves props for being the first-ever Group of Five team to make the playoff, but the Bearcats just couldn’t match up with the Tide.

What’d we learn from Alabama’s win over Cincinnati?

3. Brian Robinson Jr. is a dude

Brian Robinson Jr. has been great this season but he still doesn’t get the respect he deserves because of guys like Bryce Young, John Metchie, and Jameson Williams on the offensive side of the ball. He has just been quietly putting in work.

On Friday night, it wasn’t so quiet.

Alabama wasn’t having a ton of success through the air as Cincinnati’s defensive backfield was putting the clamps on the Tide receivers but Robinson Jr. stepped up to put the offense on his back.

In fact, he finished with over 200 yards on 26 carries and he was consistent all night as his longest run was just 23 yards. He was a monster all game for the Crimson Tide and was a man among boys against the Bearcats’ defensive front.

Robinson Jr. is a dude.
