Kentucky football followed up a double-digit win season with a top 15 recruiting class. Who are the guys that will make an instant impact in 2022?

Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops has done one of the best coaching jobs in the country. For a school that cares predominantly about basketball, Stoops has given the Kentucky faithful an enjoyable product to watch in the fall.

The Wildcats have become consistently the second-best team in the SEC East and are a tough team to play week in and week out.

After winning double-digit games this season, Stoops proceeded to sign what would be the highest-ranked recruiting class in Kentucky history. It is historically tough to recruit to a place like Kentucky due to there not being a lot of high-level in-state talent.

However, Kentucky stepped up its game during its early signing period and signed several talented prospects. It will be tough for Kentucky to ever overtake Georgia in the East, but if they can continually sign classes like these, they will give themselves a chance for sure.

This is a bit different than what Kentucky is used to doing in recruiting. The Wildcats have stepped up their game under Stoops, but they usually have stuck to finding three-star level players that they can develop. This was a change of pace for the program and an interesting storyline for Kentucky in the future will be if they can keep this level of recruiting up.

What is even better news for Kentucky fans is that Stoops does not seem to be in a hurry to leave Lexington. He has turned down other jobs and that is what should lead to the Wildcats continue to improve on the recruiting trail.

Here are the three early signees that are going to have an instant impact at Kentucky in 2022.
