Make Stetson’s life easier

Facing one of the best pass-rush duos in the country in Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo, the Bulldogs made the tandem obsolete because of their game plan.

With runs, swing passes, and quick drops, the Bulldogs didn’t really allow Hutchinson and Ojabo to be in a position to make plays. Georgia ran for 190 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per attempt, plus got three runs of more than 20 yards.

James Cook was a big part of the Orange Bowl and dominated in the passing game. While Georgia overwhelmed Michigan with its size and speed, it won’t be able to do that against the Tide.

Still, if Bennett is going to be successful the Bulldogs have to help him out. The offensive line which could have easily won the Joe Moore Award for the nation’s best o-line has to keep Bennett clean as it did against Michigan, and the Dawgs have to stay ahead of the chains.

Even in the SEC title game, Alabama didn’t stonewall Georgia. The Tide just got stops at key times and forced some turnovers. So if Georgia eliminates the mistakes and puts Bennett in favorable situations, which will make it easier to do just that, UGA will have a great shot to win.
