Young and Williams will connect on a bomb

Bryce Young gets much of the credit for Alabama football’s run to the national title game and it’s well-deserved but don’t forget about Jameson Williams.

Williams, the former Ohio State transfer, went for 184 yards and two touchdowns against Georiga in the SEC title game and was essential in turning the tide.

Not only did he score the 65-yarder when Alabama football was down by double digits, but he also scored the 56-yard touchdown in the third quarter that proved to be a dagger.

After that and a defensive touchdown by the Crimson Tide, it was 38-17 and the game was over.

Like many of the Alabama wideouts to come before them, Williams and John Metchie will be playing in the NFL before we know it, but Monday night, Williams will make another eye-opening play and maybe even score a long touchdown.

Somehow, someway it will happen (a play over 50 yards). The key for Georgia is making sure Williams doesn’t do it two or three times. That will be hard to overcome.
