Georgia will grab an early lead

Alabama ended up beating Georgia by 17 points in the SEC title game but the Dawgs actually had a 10-0 lead in the second quarter and appeared to be in control.

But then Bryce Young changed the game on a 67-yard touchdown pass to Jameson Williams. So even in the 17-point loss, where the wheels fell off, Georgia was off to a great start.

And I think something similar will happen on Monday night in Indy. In terms of talent, Georgia is every bit as good as Alabama and is probably better across the board.

Georgia’s defense is dominant and has NFL players on all three levels and not just guys that are getting picked in the later rounds of the draft. The pass rush is fearsome and so is the run defense. Plus Brock Bowers and all the receivers are dangerous too.

And for all the criticism he gets, Stetson Bennett is a quality quarterback. He was dropping dimes against Michigan. All of that means the Bulldogs have momentum and Kirby Smart will have this team ready to go.

All season long most college football followers have believed that Georiga was the best team in the country and at least to start Monday night, it will look like it.
