3. Jalen Berger: from Wisconsin to Michigan State

The Wisconsin Badgers went to New Jersey and recruited a running back who also ran track, his name was Jonathan Taylor, and he was arguably the best running back in school history.

Jalen Berger was a higher-rated prospect out of high school than Taylor and had a bright future in Madison. However, Berger was unexpectedly dismissed from the football team for violation of team rules. He was unhappy with the Badgers signing Clemson transfer Chez Mellusi.

After his dismissal, Berger was, of course, looking for a new home to play in. Enter the Michigan State  Spartans. Berger slides right in since running back Kenneth Walker III is headed to the NFL. Berger is an excellent fit for the Spartans.

Berger is a sleek runner with the ability to either run between the tackles or outside. Berger could form quite the one-two punch with power back Elijah Collins. Quarterback Peyton Thorne will enjoy running back to take the pressure off much as Walker did.

Berger, a former track star in high school, runs the football much like Walker. Berger can run between the tackles with the ability to break a long run in the open field.
