3. DeCarlos Nicholson (Cornerback)

One of the areas that the Bulldogs are going to need some new guys to step up is in the secondary. Mississippi State had an underrated secondary this season, but is going to be losing some talent in the back of their defense. The guy that is most likely to make an impact from this early signing class is DeCarlos Nicholson.

Nicholson is a local JUCO recruit, who played his high school ball in the state of Mississippi. A former quarterback at the high school level, Nicholson is now a corner and is a guy that is filled with untapped potential.

At 6-3/200 LBS, Nicholson has the size and length that teams covet from their corners today. He has an instinct to make plays and is instinctive in coverage.

There are still some raw aspects to his game that need to be refined, but the potential is there and that is what is going to make him an impact player for the Bulldogs in 2022.
