Monday night, the Dawgs took on a familiar foe – Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Just a few years ago it was the Tide celebrating – but tonight was a different story.
The Bulldogs were a dominant team all season long, but a loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship had some questioning if they could pull out a win in the rematch.
Not only did they win, but in the final moments the defense delivered the kill shot, delivering a pick-six with less than a minute remaining. It was fitting, considering how that very defense had led the Dawgs all year long.
Now a 40-year drought is over. Congratulations to the Georgia Bulldogs and their fans. There’s just one thing left to do.
