USC football is going under an overhaul this offseason and head coach Lincoln Riley is looking to make a splash in the transfer portal.

When Lincoln Riley was hired to be USC football‘s head coach, he said he was going to turn the program into the Mecca of college football.

And so far, it looks like he wasn’t joking.

Of course, it’s going to take time. But Riley has already pulled off some stellar recruiting wins, including the signing of five-star cornerback Domani Jackson, as well as winning the commitment of top-100 wideout C.J. Williams just last weekend, completing the flip from Notre Dame. The Trojans also flipped five-star running back Raleek Brown from Oklahoma.

As important as those additions will be for next season and for the future of USC football, Riley and the Trojans are far from finished.

In fact, USC football is now expected to add not one, but two elite talents from the transfer portal in former Oklahoma stars Caleb Williams and Mario Williams.

Caleb Williams and Mario Williams are trending to USC football

Williams is a five-star quarterback and was the top-ranked quarterback in the 2021 recruiting class. He also stood out in his first season at Oklahoma under Riley and figured to be a preseason favorite for the Heisman Trophy.

Yet, everything changed when Riley left the Sooners for USC. Williams, who is from Maryland, followed Riley to Oklahoma and seven crystal ball projections from 247 sports insiders have him following to Southern California.

And if that wasn’t exciting enough for USC football fans, one of Williams top passing targets in 2021 — Mario Williams — is now expected (five crystal balls to USC) to join after putting his name in the transfer portal just last week.

Mario was the 43rd overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting class out of Florida. He caught 35 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns. Caleb Williams threw 21 touchdown passes last season and four interceptions in 11 total games.

Both players are taking visits to places besides USC. Caleb Williams is going to visit UCLA and Mario Williams is visiting Texas, but all signs point to the Trojans.
