After an interesting set of games, Notre Dame will get to have a breather when UNLV comes to town, Coaches will tell you that no game should ever be a breather, but the Rebels have been one of the worst teams in the FBS for the past few seasons.

Former Oregon offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo is still leading the UNLV program and has not done a great job thus far. It is hard to see things changing very much in Vegas this season and Notre Dame will dominate this game.

Another ACC contest will see Notre Dame heading east to take on Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. Syracuse had a slight bounce-back season in 2021 after a terrible 2020. However, head coach Dino Babers is going to be under a lot of pressure to return Syracuse to a bowl game and show progress. The Orange have been known for their offense while Babers has been the head coach, but it was their defense and running game that helped carry Syracuse in 2021.

While the Carrier Dome is a tough place to play, Notre Dame is going to be too deep and talented for Syracuse. The Orange have too many questions to be able to pull off an upset over what should be a red-hot Notre Dame team.

Final Score: Notre Dame 34, Syracuse 13 (7-1)
