Arkansas football is looking to finish out the 2022 recruiting class on a high note and these three guys could boost the Razorbacks’ ranking.

If I would have told you right after Chad Morris was fired that Arkansas football would be one of the best teams in the SEC within the first couple of years of Sam Pittman, you would have called me crazy.

But here we are.

The Razorbacks had a solid first season under Pittman in 2020 despite a losing record and then improved on that, finishing 9-4 in the league in 2021 with an impressive Outback Bowl win over Penn State.

As if that’s not impressive enough, he’s improved recruiting drastically. The 2021 class was ranked No. 25 in the country and the 2022 group is currently No. 19 with a chance to move up with a solid finish by National Signing Day.

Who are the top remaining targets?

Phaizon Wilson is an intriguing prospect because of his impressive offer sheet as well as the fact that he possesses the size and athleticism to be a solid, but raw, outside receiver or even a tight end with a little more weight added onto his 6-4 frame.

Right now, Arkansas looks like one of the two favorites to land him along with Alabama which just goes to show how talented he really is.

Wilson is a big target with strong hands and the ability to win 50/50 balls against defensive backs with regularity. He’s ranked the No. 409 overall recruit and 59th-best receiver in the class, according to the composite.

If Arkansas can land Wilson over Alabama, he could be an immediate red-zone target.
