After finally breaking through and winning a national championship for the first time in 41 years, what will Georgia Football do for a follow-up in 2022?

Georgia Football finally had its dream season in 2021. The Bulldogs rode one of the most dominant defenses ever to its first national title in 41 years, finally putting to bed some of the failures of the past. The Bulldogs were finally able to take down Alabama and there has to be a sense of relief amongst the program and fanbase now that they have won one.

Now, Kirby Smart has to get his next team ready to try and do what no team has done since Alabama in 2011 and 2012, which is win back-to-back national championships.

The roster turnover is going to be significant for Georgia, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Nakobe Dean, Channing Tindall, Trayvon Walker, Quay Walker, Lewis Cine, and Derion Kendrick are all going to the NFL. While the Bulldogs will still have talent that they have recruited over the years, that is a lot of key players to replace.

On offense, running backs Zamir White and James Cook are gone, as is offensive linemen Jamaree Salyer. Wide receiver Jermaine Burton transferred to Alabama. Stetson Bennett will be back to lead the offense and he will have young players like Brock Bowers to help him lead the offense.

The schedule is kind enough for the Bulldogs that they should win double-digit games at a minimum. Repeating as champions is always tough, but the Bulldogs are going to have a chance to do something special in 2022.

Here are the way-too-early game-by-game predictions for Georgia Football in 2022.
