Sept. 3. 1. 814. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Atlanta, Ga.. Georgia Bulldogs. player

What an opener for Dan Lanning and the Ducks. He will get to go against his former team in his first game as the head coach and Lanning will be trying to take down the defending national champions. Georgia is going to be losing a lot of talent off of this past year’s team, but the Bulldogs are still going to be among the favorites to return to the college football playoff.

Nix is going to be facing an opponent that he knows well. He never beat Georgia while he was at Auburn, but he will be looking to and will be plenty motivated. Oregon has a better chance at winning this game than people might think, but they will come up short in one of the opening weekend’s marquee games.

Final Score: Oregon 20, Georgia 27 (0-1)

After a tough loss to Georgia, Oregon will come home to face what will be a pesky Eastern Washington team. The Eagles have been one of the best FCS programs for quite some time and can be a challenging opponent for teams to face.

This will be a game for Oregon to take its frustrations from the last game out on. The Ducks will be a focused group and should win this game easily.

Final Score: Oregon 49, Eastern Washington 14 (1-1)
