Oregon Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2022
This will be the second straight road game for the Ducks and they will be hoping to stay unbeaten in Pac-12 play and keep a Rose Bowl birth alive. This time, they will have to travel to Boulder, Colorado to take on the Buffaloes. Buffaloes head coach Karl Dorrell had a successful first year in 2020, but Colorado did not continue that success in 2021.
This should be a game that Oregon wins, but they will have to make sure that they are not looking ahead to their rivalry game against Washington next week. They won’t be and will win this game over the Buffaloes.
Final Score: Oregon 45, Colorado 23 (7-2, 6-0)
One of the most heated rivalries in the country is between Oregon and Washington and it feels like this rivalry does not get the respect that it should. After Washington did really well against the Ducks while Chris Peterson was the head coach, Oregon has done better in recent years, including winning last season’s contest in Seattle.
Washington made the decision to fire Jimmy Lake and will be starting their first season under new head coach Kalen DeBoer. He was successful during his time at Fresno State and most importantly to Washington fans, he knew how to develop quarterbacks and run good offenses. However, there is too much uncertainty on this Washington team that has me believing they will have anything other than a mediocre season in 2022.
Final Score: Oregon 34, Washington 20 (8-2, 7-0)
