After a College Football Playoff that saw two first-time teams in Michigan and Cincinnati, these are four burning questions for the 2021 semifinalists.

Two weeks have passed since Georgia won its first national title since 1980, and Kirby Smart finally won the big game. Specifically, Kirby Smart finally beat his mentor Nick Saban. The cycle starts again for these coaches and many others in college football.

That is no different for these playoff teams. Each team has further questions to answer before the 2022 season. The big question for this final four is, “How do I make it back here next season?”

Cincinnati loses a ton of players from this season’s playoff squad. Luke Fickell and the Bearcats have recruited better than any of its counterparts in the American; next season will test just how well they’ve recruited.

It has always seemed that the expectations for Michigan are higher outside of Wolverine circles than inside. Recruiting is better than it has been in decades under head coach Jim Harbaugh and the program has not been this healthy since the Lloyd Carr era.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is right home in the CFP. It seemed like there were too many injuries to overcome for the Tide. Is Georgia vs. Alabama going to be a mainstay for the next few years?

Here are four burning questions for each semifinalist from this past playoff.
