2. Texas football — 5 wins in 2021

Another college football team in line for a huge win improvement in 2022 is Texas football. The first year under Steve Sarkisian didn’t exactly go as planned — 5-7 wasn’t necessarily on the menu — but the Longhorns have talent.

And now they have a five-star quarterback leading the charge.

Of all the additions in the transfer portal from 2022, Quinn Ewers is probably going to be the most impactful addition as the former No. 1 quarterback in 2022 went from Ohio State to Texas.

With Bijan Robinson back at running back and Xavier Worthy at wide receiver, Texas will have as talented a QB/RB/WR trio as any college football team in the country, plus a guy calling the plays in Sarkisian that’s one of the best in the country too. Jahleel Billingsley is a talented tight end coming over from Alabama in the transfer portal too.

On top of all of that, Texas football has signed a top-5 recruiting class in 2022 and isn’t done. Plus, the defense has to be better right? Even if it isn’t the offense is good enough to win at least 8-9 games next season and I wouldn’t be shocked if the Horns ended up playing in a New Years Six Bowl.
