These five young men had outstanding performances at the NFLPA Bowl which is a good thing with the 2022 NFL draft right around the corner.

2022 NFL draft hopefuls from all over the country descended on Pasadena, California this week to practice and participated in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Though the game is secondary to the week of practice and evaluation, the game itself turned out to be entertaining.

There were over 100 players invited to participate from the FBS (Power Five and Group of Five) and the FCS, including participants from HBCU schools. Former NFL head coaches Jeff Fisher, and Marvin Lewis were in charge of each team.

The National team, led by Southeast Louisiana quarterback (and Arkansas transfer) Cole Kelley, won the game 25-24. Kelley took home MVP honors after a 12/17, 150 yard and one touchdown performance.

Kelley wasn’t the only quarterback who played well. Fellow quarterbacks, Chase Garbers (California), and Aqeel Class (Alabama A&M) played well for the American team. Glass threw for 141 yards, and a touchdown, and Garbers threw for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Toledo running back Bryant Kobacek had the best game with 58 yards on 14 rushes. Nicholls State wide receiver Dai’Jean Dixon stole the show with 131 receiving yards showing polished route running and soft hands.

Saturday afternoon’s game was an opportunity for young men to get noticed by scouts ahead of the 2022 NFL draft and here is a closer look at five players who stood out at the game
