Five-star linebacker Jaylen Sneed is a heck of an athlete. He played at an elite level on the defensive side of the ball in Hilton Head but he showed his athleticism by carrying the ball on the offensive side.

Sneed looks like a star on the defensive side of the ball and with the linebacking corps losing Drew White, the Irish could use some help in the middle of the defense.

The early enrollee is ranked the No. 33 overall recruit and third-best linebacker in the 2022 class and the fact that the Irish’s top overall signee is already learning the defense is a good sign. It’s only going to help him in the long run.

Marcus Freeman is an elite defensive mind and he’s going to need some incoming recruits to help replace key defenders who have either entered the portal, graduated, or are entering the NFL draft.

Notre Dame won this recruitment over a ton of elite programs and there’s a reason he’s ranked so highly and he just has the look of a potential breakout star in 2022.
