Ole Miss football crushed opponents under a barrage of points in 2021 and can do the same this year with a whole new team.

Ole Miss football made quite the impression on opening weekend in Atlanta, crushing Louisville with a barrage of points and plays that must have seemed like never-ending torture. It only blew up from there, as the Rebels were doing that same thing to SEC opponents as well.

Kiffin, the overseer of offensive madness, is still around. However, that’s the exception, as nearly every single offensive star is gone. Matt Corral, the quarterback who Kiffin molded into one of the best passers in college football? Gone. Their top two running backs in Jerrion Ealy and Snoop Conner? Also gone. Hey, what about receivers? Oh, the top three in receiving yards are out of here, too.

Even offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby has left, going to Oklahoma for the same position under Brent Venables.

Leave it to Lane though to reload in the most non-traditional way possible: the transfer portal. There are so many transfers to Ole Miss, that they’ve replaced most all their offensive production with players that are equal – if not better at the task.

Jaxson Dart, the USC quarterback who impressed last year, is now in Oxford. Eight other top 100 transfer portal players join Dart at Ole Miss, meaning this team is the ultimate wild card in the SEC race.

How will Ole Miss fare in 2022?
