4. Ole Miss

Ole Miss is still in the mix here for a couple of reasons. One the Mannings have a history with the school. Arch Manning’s dad went there, and so did Archie and Eli, who were among the best players in school history.

Eli led Ole Miss to a Cotton Bowl championship before he left for the NFL and with Lane Kiffin, a bright NFL mind with a strong history of developing quarterbacks, coaching the Rebels, it makes sense for Arch Manning’s NFL future too.

It feels like the Rebels have work to do but another season of SEC contention might be enough to sway Manning that with him, Ole Miss could do the unthinkable and win an SEC championship.

3. Alabama

I was very close to ranking Alabama fourth because it feels like Nick Saban and company have some work to do. However, with all the success Alabama has had developing quarterbacks over the years and winning national titles, the thought of Arch Manning playing for Saban is frightening.

We’ll see what happens and the truth is, you can never count out Saban but in the battle for Arch Manning, a couple of old assistants seem to be out-pacing him slightly.
