Most underrated (offense):  Colston Loveland

When Michigan football landed the commitment of Colston Loveland, he was ranked outside the top 500 of the 247 sports composite rankings. Since then, he’s made a huge leap and even though he’s now ranked as a four-star recruit (317th overall), he’s still underrated.

There’s a reason that Alabama offered the 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end. He’s one of the most underrated prospects in the entire class and Michigan’s first signing of a kid from Idaho in decades is going to pay off in a very big way.

Most underrated (defense): Damani Dent

Three-star signee Damani Dent will be yet another Michigan football player to have a standout career after being a three-star recruit.

Dent was ranked outside the top 1,000 when Michigan got into the mix. Oregon was heavily involved and eventually, so were Miami and Florida too. The Wolverines won his commitment but had to work extremely hard to hold onto it.

That’s because Dent is legit. He’s 6-foot, 180 pounds but has the versatility to do many of the things Daxton Hill did for the Wolverines. He will also outplay his recruiting ranking with ease.
