Running Back

Starter: Jahmyr Gibbs
Backup: Jase McClellan OR Trey Sanders

Alabama is going to be missing its leading rusher from last season in Brian Robinson Jr., but they may have upgraded at the position.

Jahmyr Gibbs is coming over from Georgia Tech where he was one of the most underrated players in the country. Most may not know about Gibbs due to Georgia Tech being a terrible team, but he is one of the best all-purpose backs in the country. He can be an elite receiver out of the backfield and is a tough, physical runner. This is one of the biggest impact additions any team made in the transfer portal.

A guy that most college fans might not remember is Jase McClellan. He was having a nice season for Alabama until he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Like Gibbs, McClellan can catch the ball out of the backfield well and runs hard.

Trey Sanders is the other guy that should get carries, but he has not played up to his talent level since he arrived in Tuscaloosa, although some of that is due to injury.
