17. player. Scouting Report. Georgia. Jordan Davis. 13. Pick Analysis. DT

Are you sensing a theme in this first round? Yes, it’s absolutely dominated by Georgia defenders. The Heisman-contending defensive tackle has an NFL-ready body at 6-6 and 340 pounds and he’s going to be a monster wherever he lands. I think that’ll be Los Angeles.

The Chargers need a defensive tackle, a linebacker, or a receiver. Davis is a safe pick here and maybe he could be the next dominant defensive lineman in Los Angeles, following Aaron Donald with the Rams. He certainly looks like a future All-Pro.

Pick Analysis. Ole Miss. Matt Corral. player. 15. Scouting Report. QB. 18

I’ve been a fan of Matt Corral’s for years and his 2020 breakout season felt long overdue. Lane Kiffin was the best thing to happen to the Ole Miss quarterback.

Corral is one of three quarterbacks who I see going in the first round and New Orleans is one of the few teams that I believe need to take a quarterback early. The Saints need to address the position with a high-ceiling passer like Corral who may not have put up huge numbers in 2021, but he has that potential.

The Saints can’t afford to wait another year before addressing the quarterback position. Taysom Hill is not the future.
