Alabama Football: Arch Manning would be perfect fit with Tide
Arch Manning is reportedly down to a couple of programs and Alabama football is one of them. He’s a perfect fit with the Crimson Tide.
According to a recent report, prized recruit Arch Manning could be down to two schools despite not publicly announcing anything about a decision timeline.
Texas and Alabama look like the top two contenders for Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli, while Georgia and Ole Miss are still technically in the mix. If he is truly down to Alabama and Texas, I think there’s one clear favorite: the Crimson Tide.
No program gets players prepared for the NFL better than Alabama and that’s because Hall of Fame head coach Nick Saban has done an excellent job with his coaching staff over the years. Saban hires guys with NFL experience and even previous head coaching experience at the collegiate level — or both.
Offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien falls under both of those categories.
If Manning wants to guarantee improvement throughout his collegiate career and become NFL-ready by the time he’s a junior, Alabama is the place to go.
This isn’t a knock on Steve Sarkisian or Texas, but rather glowing praise for Saban and Alabama.
Plus Alabama has had an incredible track record in recent years of having Heisman-contending quarterbacks and NFL prospects at the position. Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, Mac Jones, and Bryce Young. Add Arch Manning to that list and he could become the best of the bunch.
Alabama is the right choice for Manning not only if he wants to grow into a top NFL draft pick but also if he wants to contend for titles and play on the biggest stages. It’s a match made in heaven.
