5 college football programs that could become next dynasty
2. Ohio State Buckeyes
This one shouldn’t come as much of a surprise because Ohio State has been successful for the past couple of decades and it feels like the Buckeyes are on the verge of breaking out.
Ryan Day is recruiting at a high level after Urban Meyer left the program in a good spot and Ohio State is plenty familiar with the playoff and 10-plus win seasons. Some would argue that Ohio State has the best chance of any college football program outside of Alabama and Clemson to become the next dynasty.
Ohio State has won 10-plus games in all but two seasons since 2005 and one of those was the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season when the Buckeyes went 7-1.
Not many teams have had the success of Ohio State over the years and the Buckeyes even won the national title in 2014. It’s clear that the program can contend with anyone and if it continues to recruit at a high level and Day improves as a head coach every year like he seemingly has been, the Buckeyes will string together a nice stretch of titles.
