3 College football teams that need to target JT Daniels in transfer portal
2. Missouri
Eli Drinkwitz has done a solid job of finding ways to win at Missouri, which isn’t the easiest thing to do as part of the SEC. The Tigers are coming off a 6-7 season and lost their starting quarterback to the transfer portal but also signed a top-25 recruiting class.
A QB is available if needed and with JT Daniels, Missouri could add a quarterback that’s already proven he can play in the SEC, in the same division.
The 2022 recruiting haul was impressive and it featured four-star quarterback Sam Horn who is ranked eighth at his position and 120th overall. He’s the future. But will he be ready next season?
Probably not. But one freshman who could contribute right away is Luther Burden, the top-ranked wideout in 2022 and third overall prospect. Missouri should get him a quarterback who can succeed right away and Daniels is it.
He can play this season and eventually turn it over to Horn, without sacrificing a chance to win now which Missouri may do if it starts former three-star Brady Cook.
