Jayden Daniels entered his name in the transfer portal on Thursday. These are seven spots that are good fits for Daniels next season.

After declaring he’d stay a Sun Devil after the season, Jayden Daniels announced on Thursday that he’d put his name in the transfer portal. Daniels, a rising star, threw for 2,380 yards, 10 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.

The San Bernadino native transferred after offensive coordinator Zak Hill resigned after being put on administrative leave stemming from alleged recruiting violations in 2020. Glenn Thomas, hired to replace Hill, would have been Daniels’ third offensive coordinator.

Daniels was the crown jewel of head coach Herman Edwards’ first recruiting class in 2019. That year, Daniels threw for 17 touchdowns and two interceptions to being named Pac-12  Freshman of the Year.

In addition to losing yet another offensive coordinator, Edwards’ future as head coach is in danger, along with an impending punishment from the NCAA.

Daniels joins fellow quarterback Ethan Long and ten other players to enter the transfer portal from Arizona State. Some of the other players in the Portal include Johnny Wilson and Tommi Hill.

The Sun Devils signed Alabama transfer quarterback Paul Tyson via the transfer portal to address their mounting depth issues at quarterback.

If Daniels does leave Tempe, where could he land? Here are seven possible landing spots for Daniels’ services.
