Quarterback

Starter: Haynes King
Backup: Max Johnson

This is going to be something that all Aggies fans have their eyes on this spring, much like last season. King won the job last year but got injured in Week 2. This coaching staff seems to believe in his dual-threat ability and wants to give him every chance to win the job.

While it was only one game, Texas A&M seemed to have a different kind of game plan with King than they did with Calzada. He is very talented and hopes to stay healthy for this season.

If King can’t stay healthy or disappoints, then it could be Max Johnson under center. Johnson, who is transferring in from LSU, has plenty of starting experience and talent. He is the kind of backup that most college football fans wish they had.

The guy that Aggies fans are also going to want to see in the spring is 2022 five-star Conner Weigman. Weigman is probably a year or two from challenging for playing time, but he was a five-star for a reason and could win out on talent alone.

This is going to be one of the most-watched position battles in college football this spring and any of the three guys have a chance to win the starting job.
