Linebacker

Starting Buck: Ovie Oghoufo

Backup: D.J. Harris

Starting Will: DeMarvion Overshown

Backup: David Gbenda

Starting Mike: Luke Brockermeyer

Backup: Jaylan Ford

Starting Sam: D.J. Harris

Backup: Devin Richardson

Most of the starting experience for the Longhorns is going to be back for the 2022 season. They are going to have to play better and rush the passer better, but there is talent and experience to work with in this linebacking group.

Ovie Oghoufo can play either buck or sam, but will likely start out at buck. He had two sacks and over 40 tackles last season and hopes to improve on those numbers.

DeMarvion Overshown might be the most talented linebacker of the bunch and bring a lot of experience and led the team in tackles last season. Luke Brockermeyer was the second leading tackler for the Longhorns and he returns alongside Overshown.

The last starting spot is a bit up for grabs. Devin Richardson is more experienced, but D.J. Harris will win this battle in the spring.
