It has been well documented about the issues that Clemson has had on the offensive line for the past couple of seasons. The Tigers are going to need to get better up front or they will risk their offense not getting any better in 2022.

One guy that should be a candidate to win the job this season is 2021 five-star offensive linemen Tristan Leigh who was one of the most talented recruits that the Tigers signed in 2021.

Leigh did not see the field for the Tigers and had the season to get acclimated to being in a college program. It’s tough for offensive tackles to play as true freshmen and usually need a year before they are ready. Leigh is going to compete for one of the spots at tackle.

The redshirt freshman possesses quick feet and strength to be able to excel as a pass blocker. He is talented enough to play guard as well if the Tigers offensive staff thinks he will be better in that role as well. Whether it is at tackle or guard, expect Leigh to get on the field and help improve the Tigers’ offensive line.
