3. Travis Dye, USC

There were a lot of big-time players moving through the transfer portal this offseason in college football but one of the best additions for the 2022 season will be Travis Dye, who left Oregon to go to USC, the Ducks Pac-12 rival.

Dye was ranked as a four-star according to 247 sports’ transfer portal rankings and checked in at 27th overall but when you think about what USC could be next season and the impact Dye could have right away, it easily seems like one of the most underrated additions.

Dye rushed for 1,271 yards last season for Oregon and scored 16 touchdowns while averaging six yards per rushing attempt. In his career, he has 521 attempts for 3,111 yards (6.0 average) and 21 touchdowns, plus 83 receptions and eight receiving touchdowns.

Raleek Brown is going to get some touches for USC next fall but like Donovan Edwards at Michigan last year, Dye will give the Trojans a bell-cow who is a dangerous two-way threat in his own right and an ideal fit for Lincoln Riley’s offense.

Plus, anytime you take the leading rusher from a division champion in your conference, it’s not the worst thing in the world.
