Texas A&M football will notch a top-10 finish

Jimbo Fisher is building a potential powerhouse with Texas A&M football as the Aggies signed the top-ranked recruiting class since the inception of the 247 sports composite rankings.

Yet, there was plenty of talk about how the Aggies were going to be a legitimate national title contender last season and despite the win over Alabama, that didn’t come to fruition.

Obviously, the injury to Haynes King really hurt and the plan wasn’t really for Zach Calzada to lead the way enough though he did find a way in the upset over the Crimson Tide.

This time around, Texas A&M has talent everywhere, and most importantly, it has depth at quarterback. Max Johnson, the LSU transfer is likely going to be the starter and he’s a proven dual-threat commodity in the SEC. Add five-star signee Conner Weigman to the mix, as well as Haynes and Texas A&M can survive an injury and the game’s most important position.

I still see the Aggies falling short of winning the SEC title, but Texas A&M will be back in a major bowl with a 10 or 11-win season.
