Each Power Five conference in college football has its clear favorite to be the top team within it, and next season will see these squads donning such titles.

Other than when talking about the Southeastern Conference, each Power Five league typically has no more than one program up for the challenges that the College Football Playoff has to offer. With that in mind, the ability to decide each conference’s best chance at having representation in the bracket is not too rare.

But obviously, just because one team is a conference’s “best chance” at being present in next season’s CFP, that does not mean that said team will actually manage to make it. In fact, only about three of the five names on this upcoming list have a true chance of making it to the final four.

There is some fun to be had with this, however, as two of the five schools listed here today failed to win their conferences last year. There are also some that are yet to have even made the playoff once.

With all of that said, here is the best CFB team from each Power Five conference for the 2022 season.
