Quarterback

Starter: Jordan Travis

Backup: Tate Rodemaker or AJ Duffy

This spring, Jordan Travis is going to enter spring as the unquestioned top quarterback. Last offseason, Travis had to look over his shoulder at Mckenzie Milton. Milton never really seemed to be back from his injury from a few years ago and that allowed Travis to start during the season unless he was injured.

While he is not perfect, Travis did make strides as a passer last season. He is a dynamic running threat and Norvell has done a nice job of tailoring the offense to Travis’s strengths. There is still work to be done, but Travis has done a nice job of making progress in his first two seasons.

The backup spot is either going to be going to Tate Rodemaker or true freshman AJ Duffy. Florida State is hopeful that Duffy can be the quarterback of the future, but unless Travis really regresses and struggles, it is unlikely that he sees the field.
