Linebackers

Starting Mike Linebacker: Tatum Bethune

Backup: DJ Lundy

Starting Will Linebacker: Kalen DeLoach

Backup: Amari Gainer

There is going to be heavy competition at this position this spring. The Seminoles really need some of their young talent to step up. They got some transfers in as well that will be looking to make an impact on the defense this spring and into the fall.

Tatum Bethune was one of the bigger targets for Florida State football in the transfer portal and it was huge that the Seminoles got him. Bethune was a solid player for UCF and should bring some playmaking ability to the front seven of Florida State. DJ Lundy can challenge for playing time, but he will start behind Bethune for now.

At the will spot, there is again going to be competition. Kalen DeLoach was playing well to end the season but is going to have to fend off veteran Amari Gainer, who elected to come back to Tallahassee for another season.
