5 hottest starts to college football recruiting in 2023
3. Georgia
Few college football coaches are better at recruiting and gameday execution than Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs continue to do a great job on the trail in the 2023 class.
There have been some setbacks this week as the Dawgs saw a pair of top-100 commitments leave their 2023 class, but incredibly, they still have four top-100 players that are committed.
Georgia has been doing a great job of recruiting both sides of the ball and three of the top-100 recruits are on the offensive side of the ball to go along with cornerback Marcus Washington (No. 51). Pearce Spurlin (No. 81) continues the recent trend of Georgia adding elite talent at the tight end position too.
Brock Bowers was dominant last season as a freshman and Oscar Delp is going to follow in his footsteps this season for UGA. Spurlin is 6-foot-6, 216 pounds, and ranked as the No. 3 player at his position, so even though Georgia doesn’t have any five-stars committed right now, the Bulldogs are still off to a really hot start.
The five-star recruits are sure to come for the defending national champions at some point too. Maybe even Arch Manning?
