Nebraska Football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for Huskers

Nebraska football faces another key matchup but with three losses, having a shot to win the Big Ten West doesn’t seem probable but Frost and company could use another big-name win and beating the Badgers, consistently one of the best teams in the Big Ten West would be a big deal.

Wisconsin is 9-1 against Nebraska since the Huskers joined the Big Ten and only two of the losses were by single digits but the Huskers nearly won in Madison last year and they will send out the seniors with a bang by upsetting the Badgers at home.

Final score: Nebraska 31, Wisconsin 28 (8-3) 

No team has frustrated Nebraska football fans more than the Hawkeyes. Kirk Ferentz’s team has won four straight over the Huskers by a combined 19 points with two of those wins coming on last-second field goals.

That’s just been the way it has gone for Nebraska and even though this will be a bounce-back season for the Huskers, at least if these predictions are anywhere close to correct, the frustration with Iowa will continue as the Hawkeyes will sneak out another late win.

The good news for Frost is that he’ll be around for another shot at the Hawkeyes and Ferentz in 2023.
