One of the most heartbreaking losses for Nebraska football in 2021 was the loss, on the road, against Minnesota. Adrian Martinez made a number of mistakes and the Huskers faltered in some key short-yardage situations which gave away another very winnable game.

P.J. Fleck has a 3-1 record against Scott Frost and the Golden Gophers have won three straight over the Huskers. Yet, Casey Thompson (hopefully) won’t make the same mistakes Martinez and the Huskers always seemed to make in crunch time and Nebraska football will start off the month of November by notching a really important win.

Final score: Nebraska 23, Minnesota 20) (7-2)

An Adrian Martinez fumble as Nebraska was driving for a game-winning field goal allowed Michigan to win in Lincoln last year and robbed the Huskers of all their momentum.

As good as Martinez was for Nebraska, he just seemed to be cursed in clutch moments. But in this game, it’s not going to matter.

The Huskers have been drilled by in two trips to Ann Arbor in this rivalry and while I don’t think it will be that ugly, Nebraska will lose by double digits against the defending Big Ten champs.

Final Score: Michigan 38, Nebraska 21 (7-3)
