3. Ohio State Buckeyes

Why Ohio State? Because of that good, old-fashioned SEC-Big Ten rivalry. The two conferences hate each other because they both feel as if they’re the best college football has to offer.

So if you’re Texas A&M and you have national title aspirations, why not schedule the best the Big Ten has to offer to prove your worth? The two rosters are comparable in overall talent and it’d be a good opportunity for Jimbo Fisher to prove that he has the capability of winning a national title in College Station.

There have been doubts surrounding Fisher’s ability to win big at Texas A&M because he’s a heck of a recruiter but hasn’t won a division title yet. He made a step in the right direction in 2021, however, finally beating Nick Saban and Alabama.

For Texas A&M, scheduling Ohio State would not only be fun for the fans, but it could conjure up some momentum heading into SEC play if the Aggies can pull off the win.

Plus, the SEC has been knocked a ton for not scheduling enough elite non-conference foes.
