Oklahoma Football has undergone massive changes ahead of the upcoming season. What will the 2022 depth chart look like?

Oklahoma Football has long been one of the consistent programs in the country and not much change happens frequently. This offseason, there might not be a program that has undergone more of a makeover than the Sooners program.

Gone is Lincoln Riley and former Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables is now the new head coach. Venables is familiar with the program, being a defensive coordinator at one time under Bob Stoops and Oklahoma is hoping that will make a smoother transition.

Oklahoma was leveled by transfers as well and none was bigger than quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams came off the bench in the victory against Texas and never looked back. He was sensational as a true freshman and looked like the next great Oklahoma quarterback. He left with Riley for USC and that leaves Oklahoma without a young playmaking quarterback.

With all of the departures and noise around Oklahoma this offseason, there is still plenty of talent available to win the Big 12. Venables made a smart hire by getting Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby to come over from Oxford. Lebby helped to lead some of the best offenses in the country while he was at Ole Miss and Sooners fans hope for more of the same next season.

There are plenty of questions that are going to need to be answered when spring practice kicks off for Oklahoma on March 22nd. This is going to be a brand new-looking team this season and will be one to watch.

Here is the way-too-early look at Oklahoma’s 2022 depth chart.
