Running Back

Starter: Eric Gray

Backup: Marcus Major

Oklahoma is going to have to replace a 1,200-yard rusher in Kennedy Brooks and that will not be easy. Brooks was perhaps the most consistent player on the Oklahoma offense last season and helped stabilize the offense after their tough start to the year.

Former Tennessee transfer Eric Gray was supposed to be the lead back last season, but he did not have the season many thought that he would. Gray is going to have an opportunity to be the starting back this year and he is talented enough to be one of the best running backs in the Big 12.

Backing up Gray is likely going to be Marcus Major. Major is a redshirt junior who only had 83 yards last season, but he has not had a chance to really show his talents yet. Major will be counted on for depth and form a great duo with Gray.
